Locarno is a district of the canton of Ticino in Switzerland.
Circles and municipalities
[change | change source]The district of Locarno has 40 municipalities divided in 7 circles:
- circles of Locarno: Locarno, Orselina, Tegna, Verscio, Cavigliano;
- circles of the Isole: Ascona, Brissago, Ronco sopra Ascona;
- circles of Onsernone: Comologno, Auressio, Berzona, Crana, Loco, Mosogno, Russo, Vergeletto;
- circles of the Gambarogno: Magadino, Casenzano, Caviano, Contone, Gerra (Gambarogno), Indemini, Piazzogna, , Sant'Abbondio, Vairano, Vira (Gambarogno);
- circles of Melezza: Borgnone, Intragna, Palagnedra, Losone;
- circles of Navegna: Tenero-Contra, Minusio, Mergoscia, Brione sopra Minusio, Gordola, Cugnasco;
- circles of Verzasca: Lavertezzo, Vogorno, Corippo, Brione-Gerra, Frasco, Sonogno.
