Deletion of images

Dear Érico, I am contacting you to request your assistance with wiki commons. I have tried to upload several images, but they always get deleted. The last image I uploaded was from www.flickr.com and had no copyright restrictions. The image was of a painting by artist Luc Tuymans. Also, the image is of historically significant artwork, the image is only being used for informational and educational purposes, the image is readily available on the internet, and the image is a low-resolution copy of the original artwork and is unsuitable for commercial use.

The image is meant to be added to the artist's wiki page. Without illustrations of some of the works of the artist, the page poorly documents the work of this artist.

The link to the image was/is:

Luc Tuymans_The Secretary of the State.jpg

What can I do to fix this?

Thank you in advance for your help.

File:Keiko Fujimori e Pedro Pablo Kuczynski em dezembro de 2016.png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

No title

Hi. It looks like my portrait image has been flagged for deletion. Please take a look at the image and rethink this. I’m guessing it’s because of the title “me with finger”. It’s not “that” finger. Perfectly harmless.

hallo érico, my username is stradiva and I just wanted to tell you, that the fotograph Michael Nier of the foto "luisa celentano" has already given permission for publicate this photo writing to permission@... please check it at common license ...and take back your cancel-proposing, thank you, best regards Stradiva (talk) 19:01, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Stradiva: Hi. I realized now that "Luisa Celentano" can be a relevant public figure. However, the permission has not been assigned and you will need to send it through OTRS. Please note that I'm not referring to this image, but to this one already deleted. Regards, Érico (talk) 08:39, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Files uploaded by SERGIO ROSA JUNIOR (talk · contribs)

This user uploaded five files and you deleted three of them. The deletion log only says “copyright violation”. Can you check the other two files and see if they are OK? Brianjd (talk) 03:15, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

About deleted photos

Hello érico, my username is Ethan5979 I will tell you about the image you deleted I just wanted to tell you, that the fotograph Hiro Yoshida of the foto "File:Skating201802cc01.jpg" has already given permission for publicate “https://twitter.com/patinaggio/status/967401339...“ I got permission from the photographer please check it at common license and take back your cancel-proposing, thank you, best regards Ethan5979 --Ethan5979 (talk) 15:59, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. The link you mentioned is not available. I suggest sending the authorization via OTRS. Érico (talk) 16:20, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Thank you for your reply. The photographer sent it to OTRS and got permission. Was there any trouble?--Ethan5979 (talk) 16:29, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In this case, just wait for an OTRS member to confirm the authorization and restore the file. Érico (talk) 16:32, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much. Should the photographer send it back to OTRS? Please tell me the problem with this photo. Deleted due to copyright infringement. The photographer contacted OTRS. And although it was allowed, it was deleted the other day. Thank you for your advice--Ethan5979 (talk) 16:43, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It's what I said above: if the photographer already sent to OTRS the authorization to use his file, just wait for a volunteer to handle the request. Érico (talk) 16:46, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much. By the way, why did you delete the photo? please tell me. Please.--Ethan5979 (talk) 16:51, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

How exactly is it that you're a Commons admin but don't understand the definition of vandalism? [1] EEng (talk) 04:53, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Destroying the quality of an image used in several wikis is vandalism. Full stop. Please use the CropTool instead. Érico (talk) 04:56, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
A good-faith effort to improve the project is, by definition, never vandalism, full stop, no matter how inadvisable you may judge it to be; if you don't know that you need to go back to admin school. The crop tool you're telling me does exactly what told me not to do i.e. crop the image; if you don't know that you need to go back to admin school. At enwp until about 15 years ago anyone could become an admin just by asking, even if they had very little idea of the project's policies or how it worked; apparently that's still true at Commons. Have fun. EEng (talk) 05:24, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
