Extracting EXIF data

Could anyone extract EXIF data of the files in the Photographs by Jiří Bubeníček category to the "Date = " field? — Draceane talkcontrib. 16:44, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dearchived. — Draceane talkcontrib. 15:55, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Draceane: I can do this. But the problem is, the date in EXIF metadata is not always the accurate date of producing the work. It could be the date the image was modified, or it could be totally random date (date from the camera of unclear accuracy). Is there evidence here that the dates are indeed the dates when the images where originally taken? – Ammarpad (talk) 15:33, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Ammarpad: Hi, it would be perfect. I am cautious about the EXIF metadata problem, but I have overviewed the photos in the category and it seems that all files have correct metadata. — Draceane talkcontrib. 20:25, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
OK, good. – Ammarpad (talk) 15:50, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Ammarpad: Hi, how is it going? — Draceane talkcontrib. 20:36, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Draceane: . I still have plan to do this, but I am doing so many things right now (for wiki and elsewhere). If someone picks it up that's fine, otherwise I will find time to do it. Thanks. – Ammarpad (talk) 22:08, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Files from the Rijksmuseum

Re-categorize files from the Rijksmuseum that have been removed from the category tree Category:Rijksmuseum Amsterdam (examples: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5]) into the category Category:Collections of Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. --RobertLechner (talk) 17:18, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@RobertLechner: I am a dummy with bot topic, but I just try to answer you something. Your request seems impossible. I can give two alternative solutions:
  1. all files (about 9000 files) from Category:Uncategorized images of the Rijksmuseum to be provided with the category Category:Collections of Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. Of course, it means massive duplicating.
  2. you will quarry a file list from Category:Uncategorized images of the Rijksmuseum, hold this list in your computer or in your Commons user page, and eg in every week or every month compare your list vs new list quarried from Category:Uncategorized images of the Rijksmuseum. So you can see which files have been removed from Category:Uncategorized images of the Rijksmuseum. Sidenotice: AutoWikiBrowser has the function "List comparer" and it will work well to your case--Estopedist1 (talk) 07:39, 15 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
actually I'm interested in the files that are already not in the Category:Uncategorized images of the Rijksmuseum. --RobertLechner (talk) 17:56, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Add files in Auckland Museum categories to an administrative category for ISA campaigns

Hello, I work at Auckland Museum. We have run 40 ISA campaigns recently and I would like to have all the files used in them added to the administrative category Category:Images from Auckland Museum used in ISA campaigns. My aim is to run a single SPARQL query that would allow me to extract the “depicts” tags added by ISA users to each item.

These are the categories:

I looked into using Commons Commander and Visual File Change for this categorisation, but neither seemed particularly suited to doing this efficiently. AutoWikiBrowser is beyond my current abilities. Apologies if there is an easy way for me to do this myself; please let me know if so. Thanks, Hugh. —Hugh (talk) 20:10, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Add {{LicenseReview}} to tistory.com files that should have their license reviewed

About 1'000 files from Tistory do not have {{LicenseReview}}. Do help to add the template below the license provided. E.g. Special:Diff/609151220. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 14:45, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Cleveland Museum of Art

Hi, Thousands of files from the Cleveland Museum of Art were uploaded by Madreiling (not active since August 2019), and Wikidata items created for them. However,

Could it be possible to fix that with a bot? i.e.

  1. Add the WD Q number in the Artwork template;
  2. Complete the WD item with information on Commons (at least the creator);
  3. Upload a JPEG version with the highest possible resolution;
  4. Add the JPEG version to the P18 property;
  5. Mark the JPEG version as preferred rank in WD;
  6. Use a Creator template for the Artist in Commons.

Thanks, Yann (talk) 14:48, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
