The menstrual cycle hormones, estrogen (estradiol) and progesterone are measured and reported in different units. For this reason the estrogen levels are measured on the left of the graph and the progesterone on the right. It is now the international standard to use pmol/L (rather than pg/ml) for estrogen--to get to pmol/L multiply the pg/ml value by 3.67. It is now the international standard to use nmol/L (rather than ng/ml) for progesterone--to get to nmol/L multiply ng/ml by 3.18. |
