Socking investigations

Hello.
One of the pending SPIs causes an uneasy fuzziness around one of active Commons accounts – does it represent a distinct person troubling to understand copyright? Or merely an elite sock grown on well-known farm for use in en.Wikipedia and not yet blocked due to extreme slowness of check-user? It would be good to understand who uploaded File:McDonald's-1968 logo.png (presumedly a derivative of the recently deleted File:McDonald's 1968 logo.png and/or File:McDonald's 1968 logo.jpg). We may and should talk to an errant user, not so to a serially produced puppet. I hope you can eventually spend some time to elucidate the problem of Bill Wong’s “personality”. After Commons:Requests for checkuser/Case/Sol-lol you neglected to reference this page in any way: either {{Sockpuppeteer}} on the user: page or simply to link it in block reasons. Can you do me a favour and see if there is any relation between these two entities: This IP and this "sleeper", whose common attitude is to begin deletion sprees of files uploaded by this servant? Yes, I agree that the first one had a better taste for finding the files to present to DR ("he" is very experienced :) but the issue is, those files were from old times; I'm much more keen to upload only my own files since a considerable time. No SBL override

Hallo Krd, ich finde es ziemlich bescheuert, dass nicht mal ein "gewöhnlicher Admin" die Möglichkeit hat, so etwas durch manuelles Verschieben geradezubiegen. Manwe12

Hi, Krd. New user Manwe12 asked me in my user talkpage to restore a lot of files, for example file:Ritratto di Ferdinando II d'Asburgo.jpg. They were deleted by you with reason "Created by abuser". Do we need to take action against Manwe12? Or maybe restore the files as PD-old? Taivo (talk) 17:36, 29 April 2018 (UTC)

The original uploader was known to mix blatant copyvios with all types of wrong claims between pd-old mass uploads. You can restore the files in question if you verify that they are really pd-old (and e.g. not a recent production of an historical scene).

I haven't checked yet the the mentioned user is related to the uploader. Please let me know if you think this is relevant. --Krd 17:43, 29 April 2018 (UTC)

Frettiebot

I just spotted that Frettiebot (talk · contribs) is running what looks like the same code as Commons:Bots/Requests/Pi bot 1 to add {{Wikidata Infobox}}. I'm not sure if this is an issue or not? From my side, the code is solid, and two users running it doesn't interfere with pi bot's running - but there's no bot flag being used here. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 15:48, 9 May 2018 (UTC)

At least you are tagging some edits and minor and some not, which make the impression that more than a fixed piece of code is running. Also I'd say the bot is running too fast. The concerns raised at Commons:Bots/Requests/Frettiebot also apply here IMHO. --Krd 18:48, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

Commons:Requests for checkuser/Case/Chyah

Did you extract any technical data before doing Revision of Commons:Requests for checkuser/Case/Chyah? I don’t insist on publication of any details now and can trust your parole that you don’t lead the administration of Commons towards a debacle similar to one that en.Wikipedians experienced recently. The case is not complete. There is certain Ghorbanpour spamming ring and also some person known as Chyah/Rafic.Mufid/Sonia Sevilla. Surely the latter is now blocked due to block evasion and disruption in user_talk of multiple users, but this person is also a contributor with ∼11k uploads and no spam from any known account. How the Ghorbanpour spammer(s) is/are related to Chyah/Sonia_Sevilla? I hoped it was clear that this question is not concluded. Moreover, I know that their landline IP range covers a large area in Iran hundreds km across. Please, do not refer me to trials conducted in Farsi wikis.
