I had uploaded these files from Europeana, where they had been put under a CC-BY license. The links are now broken (probably removed) and I have not been able to trace them at the Wayback Machine. Please don't tell me I should have requested a license review then since I am fully aware - and sorry - of it Clin.

@Racconish: I recently saw some requests like Commons:Deletion requests/File:SchenkeveldHolt1995.jpg "This CC-O was only ment for the metadata, not the file. Work is still in copyright. The collection has already been removed from Europeana (see dead link to source)."
So this was probably never free to begin with? François Morellet died in 2016. Undeletion category added mostly for form.. Several of these really should be {{PD-ineligible}} though. If this is art, I'm gonna be so fucking rich.. - Alexis Jazz ping plz 09:49, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Leoboudv: Files have a working source now. But it generally isn't needed, we don't delete Panoramio photos because Panoramio went down. Many files on Commons have source links that broke after the file was uploaded, if the source link is not needed for the license it's no problem normally. - Alexis Jazz ping plz 23:37, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment As much as I regret to loose these files because of their high EV, I strongly object to considering the work of François Morellet, a prominent representative of geometrical abstract art, as below the threshold of originality. Please forgive me to quote in French : "Dès le début des années 50, François Morellet envisage un mode de production artistique qui se caractérise par la volonté de réduire les interventions subjectives de l’artiste et de rendre perceptible les choix qui déterminent la réalisation d’une œuvre. Les motifs de la ligne droite et de la grille lui apparaissent comme le meilleur moyen d’opérer cette réduction. Plus le vocabulaire est limité, plus le geste est lisible. Les variations observables d’une pièce à l’autre s’en trouvent mises en évidence.
