Hi, I uploading a lot of photos Uwelir (talk) 18:31, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have 288 uploads and have contributed 60+ QIs and 4 FPs in Wikimedia since I registered over 10 years ago. I would like to have the autopatrolled rights to overwrite old files (mostly old artworks and photos) with a higher quality, as open digitization projects, such as BHL, Internet Archive, and Gallica, have made their better versions accessible. Over the last few years I have been working on this part, and sometimes I even visit institutions to obtain a better scan of old files (such as replacing this one with this one). All of these changes can be browsed in my Upload page. Please consider me as a trustful editor, and I would appreciate being granted Autopatrol rights. Thank you. I am maintaining categories for heritage monuments in Azerbaijan. Since Azerbaijan retake control of disputed region called Karabakh, I have to move files from {{Cultural Heritage Armenia}} to Azerbaijan. For example these files should be moved to {{Cultural Heritage Azerbaijan|5749}} Nemoralis (talk) 20:08, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  •   Oppose until there is community consensus on this sort of matter. --SHB2000 (talk) 05:11, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  •   Oppose Very sensitive topic. If the Cultural Heritage Azerbaijan template does work the way this user does, these could and should coexist. But that's not the point of this request.   Not done unless you gain consensus to perform such move. --Bedivere (talk) 05:18, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • @SHB2000, @Bedivere, let me clarify once more. The Cultural Heritage template is intended for official IDs issued by the government. It does not imply that "this monument is cultural heritage of Armenian/Azerbaijani people". I do not deny any Armenian heritage in Karabakh. Armenian IDs for monuments in Karabakh were issued by the NKR Department of Tourism and Historical Environment Protection. The department was dissolved along with the government on January 1, and the IDs they issued were consequently nullified. Since 2001, Azerbaijan has issued its own IDs for the same monuments and they are still in use. What I want to explain is that this template does not indicate that the monument is the heritage of the Armenian/Azerbaijani people, but that it is located in the national database of local government with such and such an ID number. I attempted to find the NKR's website for these IDs, but unfortunately, I was unable to find it. But it is possible to find a list of monuments located in Armenia, for example: [1]. Oh, and also, as far as I know, this template is for the Wiki Loves Monuments database, which means that because of these templates, monuments located in Azerbaijan appear in the WLM database as if they were in Armenia (not NKR, template is "Armenia"). Please obtain community consensus first. --SHB2000 (talk) 21:33, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
    I will. Thanks Nemoralis (talk) 09:46, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
