Description
English: This Sun temple is situated at Modhera about 25 km from Mehsana and 106 km from Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Probably constructed in the first quarter of the 11th Century by the Chalukya king Bhima I this temple is believed to be in commemoration of the defense of his army, though unsuccessful against Sultan Mahmud of Ghazani
