English: This is the Wentworth Park Bandshell as it looked in 1928. Wentworth Park, a Canadian urban park located in the community of Sydney, now part of Nova Scotia's Cape Breton Regional Municipality. The park incorporates the Bandshell, a 1.2 kilometres (0.75 mi) network of paved paths, as well as a playground. The park centres around Wentworth Creek, which forms a series of interconnected ponds running through the park. Much of the park is lawn, suitable for informal recreation, with many towering trees for shade. The park encompass 14.5 acres (5.9 ha) within the former city's boundaries. |
