Geography
Ahanta West district is located at the southern most point of Akanland with the capital at Agona Nkwanta also called Agona Ahanta. The Ahanta West district has a total land area of 591 square kilometers. This proximity to the central business district of Sekondi-Takoradi enhances business and trade in particular. The District lies between latitude 4°.45"N and longitude 1°.58"W.[1]
Boundary
Ahanta West district is bounded on the East by the [Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan, on the West by the Nzema East Municipal, and the North by Mpohor Wassa East and Wassa Amenfi West districts and the Gulf of Guinea to the South.[1]
Location
Ahanta West district is about 15 minutes drive from the commercial capital of Western Akanland, Takoradi and about 25 minutes drive from the administrative capital, Sekondi. In terms of distance, it is approximately 25 kilometers from the central business district of Takoradi.[1]
