Burden of Dreams (climb)

Burden of Dreams is a 4-metre (13 ft) red granite grade 9A (V17) bouldering problem at Lappnor near Loviisa, in Finland. It was first solved by Finnish climber Nalle Hukkataival on 23 October 2016, who spent over four years projecting the boulder, and was captured in the 2017 climbing film, The Lappnor Project.[3]

After resisting further attempts by the world's strongest boulder climbers for almost a decade,[4] it was first repeated by British climber Will Bosi on 12 April 2023, who had used a 3D-replica of the boulder to practice on.[5][6][7] Burden of Dreams is the world's first-ever boulder problem at the difficulty grade of 9A (V17).[8][9]
