The '''Chihuahuan Desert''' is a [[desert]] that straddles the border between the [[UnitedU.S.-Mexico States]] and [[Mexicoborder]]. On the [[United States|U.S.]] side it occupies much of central and southern [[New Mexico]] and [[Texas]] west of the [[Pecos River]]; south of the [[Rio Grande|Rio Grande (Río Bravo)]]border, it covers the northern half of the [[Mexico|Mexican]] [[Mexican state|state]] of [[Chihuahua]] and most of [[Coahuila]].
