The sole suspected shooter in the [[Pittsburgh synagogue shooting|attack against a Pittsburgh synagogue in 2018]] maintained an active, verified Gab account where he displayed the neo-Nazi code-phrase [[Fourteen Words|1488]]. Just prior to the shooting, he posted to the site about a conspiracy theory that refugees being assisted by a Jewish organization were "invaders", and that he was "going in". In the aftermath of the shooting, Gab removed his profile and provided the information to the FBI.
