Hälleforsnäs is a locality situated in [[Flen Municipality]], [[Södermanland County]], [[Sweden]] with aboutapproximately 2000 inhabitants in 2020.
 
A littlesmall village in the municipality of Flen., Centrallyit situatedis 15 km (9 miles) from [[Flen]], 32 km (20 miles) from [[Eskilstuna and]], 40 km (25 miles) from [[Katrineholm]] and 150120 km (9375 mi) south-west of [[Stockholm]].
 
This village, has been awas hivean ofindustrial industrycenter until the beginning of the 1990s when the [[foundry]] that the villageit was built around wasceased closedoperations after 350 years (foundedin 1659)the early 1990s. NowadaysThe the Foundryfoundry is now a cultural centrecenter and once again a hivehub of activity.
 
TheBeginning in the 17th century, the foundry beganfunctioned as a cannon workshop. Here, cannons were mademanufactured and exported from here tofor the Swedish army in Europe. InThe thefoundry beginningswitched offrom theproducing 20thmilitary centuryproducts theto foundrycivilian startedradiators goingand overstoves toat civilthe production,beginning makingof radiatorsthe and20th stovescentury. Between 1920 and 1980 the main products were, pipes and other plumbing accessoriessupplies were the company's primary products.
 
In the 1960s, when the foundry was at its peak, more than a thousand people worked there, as well as a few hundred in related occupations nearby.
During their high life in the 1960s there were over 1000 employees at the foundry and a few hundred people employed with subsidiary work round and about the foundry.
 
In[[Electrolux]] the eightiesacquired the foundry wasin purchasedthe by Electrolux,1980s and production switchedbegan tomanufacturing producingcookware plates. forIn cookers1990, untilElectrolux theyceased closed in 1990operations, and theseveral foundryemployees was taken over by some ofacquired the employeesfoundry. The area aroundsurrounding the foundry is today still livelyactive, but notless the way itso wasthan when theit foundryserved wasas the centrevillage's offocal the villagepoint.
 
Today:, Thethe actuallyactual foundry isserves as a centrecenter for local artists in the area, and Hälleforsnäs has become athe cultural centre for the wholeheart of [[Sörmland]]. ThereMoreover, isthe alsoJürss a Cheese makingdairy company (Jurss Dairy) which producesmanufactures and sells award-winning cheese on -site.

Due to its industrialization, Hälleforsnäs has always been a stronghold for the [[Swedish Social Democratic Party]]. Since it has always been Flen Municipality's most left-leaning district, it has contributed to large majorities throughout the municipality. With fewer people living in Hälleforsnäs, fewer people voting, and more people migrating to cities in Swedish industrial areas at the end of the 20th century, the number of votes cast there has significantly decreased. The vote share of the Social Democrats in the village decreased by 29 percentage points between 1994 and 2018, while the vote share of the [[Sweden Democrats]] grew rapidly.
