Like the NHL 14 cover, anybody can vote on the player(s) they wish to see on the cover of NHL 15. The vote started on May 5, 2014 with 8 NHL players in a single-elimination voting with two players in each match-up, and will be closed on June 1, 2014. The game will also serve as the debut entry in the series for next generation consoles. [1][2] The 8 players eligible for the voting are Erik Karlsson of the Senators, Logan Couture of the Sharks, T.J. Oshie of the Blues, P.K. Subban of the Canadiens, Drew Doughty of the Kings, Phil Kessel of the Maple Leafs, Matt Duchene of the Avalanche, and Patrice Bergeron of the Bruins. [3][2]

Features

NHL 15 has a variety of new features. They've added 12-player Collision Physics, which will have a greater effect on hits and activity outside of the user-controlled player. EA has completely rebuilt the puck physics - "Completely rebuilt puck physics result in a more realistic feel to every puck interaction. Everything on the ice, including the ice surface itself, is live which leads to the unpredictable and authentic puck spins, rolls and bounces seen in a real NHL game." They've engineered a better player likeness, so that the real actions of NHL players are better reflected in the game. They have a contract with NBC and its sports broadcasters so that the game will "blur the lines of reality and game" when it comes to commentary. It is also packed with a variety of other features which can be seen on the site. Gary Thorne and Bill Clement have been replaced by Mike Emrick and Eddie Olczyk.[4][5]
