:Hi, {{U|AstrooKai}}! As far as I am concerned, that part may be best for the "Composition and lyrics" section of the article since "Background and release" is often for information regarding the circumstances before and until the song's release, not the songwriting process. Better yet, consider adding another section titled "Writing and development"; however, only do that if you can find lots of information regarding the songwriting process that can warrant its own section. Otherwise, putting it in "Composition and lyrics" would be fine.
