@331dot: Winning a single Competitive eating contest, albeit 5 times, does not equal notability as a competitive eater. Additionally, a Wikipedia search for the contest Cordes has won—the Cheese Eating Nationals—comes up empty, showing that the contest itself is non-notable. Also, the news articles used as citations in the article are from local papers, which shows that that Mr. Cordes's notability is very limited. There are wikipedia articles about several notable competitive eaters; Brian Cordes does not appear (to me at least) to be in the same class of notability as them.
