Revivent-TC is a medical device used for patients with impaired left ventricle.[1] The device is used to treat heart failure due to ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM) with left ventricular aneurysm, and studies have shown it helps in the modification of left ventricular geometry and function.[2][3] The device is employed to construct the left ventricular without incisions in the myocardium.[4] The first in-human procedures of the Revivent-TC trial were performed in September 2013.[5][6]

Methodology

The Revivent-TC device is used by applying a pair of anchors, such as articulating polyester covered titanium anchors mounted on a polyesthylene-ether-etherketone tether. The procedure can achieve plication between the anterior and septal wall regions to reduce the left ventricular cavity area. Usually, three to five pairs of the Revivent-TC systems are implanted to complete the planned procedure.[5]
