The 2022 Kansas gubernatorial election will take place on November 8, 2022, to elect the governor of Kansas, with primary elections taking place on August 2, 2022.[1] Democratic Governor Laura Kelly is running for re-election to a second term, and will face Derek Schmidt, the state attorney general.
