Citrus hindsii, the Hong Kong kumquat,[2][3] is a species of kumquats; a type of citrus fruit in the genus Citrus, family Rutaceae. It produces small, round, edible fruits, the size of a pea. The fruits are bright orange in color when ripe. In warmer regions it is grown in gardens as an ornamental plant. It is also used as a houseplant and bonsai. The branches are very thorny.
This specific name is first published in World Checklist of Seed Plants 3(1): 15 (1999).[4][5]
