A Diamond Jubilee is a celebratio OMG ISn held to mark a 60th or 75th anniversary.[1]
Background
The diamond jubilee of the British Queen Victoria was celebrated on 22 June 1897. The Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, celebrated on 2 June 2012, was only the second in the country's history.[2] King Bhumibol of Thailand celebrated his Diamond Jubilee on 9 June 2006 at the age of 79.
In South Asia, the term is also used for certain 100-week anniversaries. For instance, in both India and Pakistan, a diamond jubilee film is one shown in cinemas for 100 weeks or more.[3]

In East Asia, Diamond Jubilee coincides with the traditional sixty-year Sexagenary cycle, and is held with special importance despite not being called "Diamond Jubilee".
Monarchs such as Kangxi, Qianlong and Hirohito held celebrations for their sixtieth year of reign, so did national governments of People's Republic of China(2009) and Republic of Korea(2005).
