Estonian Air is the national airline of Estonia.

History

The airline was established on December 1, 1991, shortly after Estonian independence. Privatized in 1996, 49% of the airline's shares are owned by SAS.

In 1995, Estonian leased two Boeing 737s to replaces its old Russian planes, and in 1996, after acquiring two more Fokker 50s, it was able to retire the Russian fleet entirely. As of 2003, the airline operates 4 Boeing 737s, and flies to destinations through Europe.
