A Weekend in the City is the title of the forthcoming Bloc Party album. Expected release date is February 5 2007 and it is being produced by Jacknife Lee.

In a recent interview, Kele Okereke revealed that the new album will be based around the theme of city life and will contain a number of tracks with new titles: "Kreuzberg" (formerly "Blue Moon") and "Song for Clay" (formerly "Merge on the Freeway").

The band also recorded two other tracks called "England" and "We Were Lovers" (formerly Cells Shaped Like Stars)[1] Neither of which, made it onto the final album. [2]

The first single off the album will be called "The Prayer" and is due for release 29 January 2007.
