Plot
After Sam Peel is released from jail for killing Trife, he finds difficulty adjusting to life on the outside. He is forced to confront the people he hurt, trying to find out which one is seeking revenge on him. While Sam tries to cope with the effect his actions had on the people he knew, he finds himself being hunted by a group of young thugs, one of whom is his younger brother, who is following the same path as Sam had in the past.[2]
Production
In October 2007, Noel Clarke, who wrote the script for Kidulthood (2006) and starred in it, was attached to write and direct its sequel, Adulthood. The British film is Clarke's feature directorial debut and brings back Kidulthood's cast members Adam Deacon, Femi Oyeniran, Red Madrell, Cornell John, and Madelaine Fairley along with newcomers.[1] George Isaac and Damien Jones are producing the film,[3] which has been backed with US$1 million from the UK Film Council's New Cinema Fund.[1] Filming has taken place in West London.[4]
Release
Adulthood will be released by Pathé in 2008.[4]
