Kingston upon Hull North and Cottingham is a constituency of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament.[1] Constituency was created after 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies. It will first be contested in the 2024 general election.[2]
Boundaries
The constituency composed of the following wards: (as they existed on 1 December 2020):
- The District of East Riding of Yorkshire wards of: Cottingham North; Cottingham South.
- The City of Kingston upon Hull wards of : Avenue; Beverley & Newland; Bricknell; Central; Kingswood; Orchard Park; University; West Carr.[3]
After allowing for ward boundary changes, it will comprise the following:[4]
- The majority of the current Kingston upon Hull North constituency (to be abolished) – excluding the North Carr ward, which will be moved to Kingston upon Hull East
- The large suburb of Cottingham, currently in the constituency of Haltemprice and Howden (to be abolished and broken up)
