Several Kordofanian languages are spoken in the Nuba hills of Kordofan, in Sudan. They are usually grouped together with the Niger-Congo languages. The "Tumtum" or Kadu languages were formerly considered Kordofanian, but are now usually seen as Nilo-Saharan.
