Loyens & Loeff N.V. (L&L) is a prominent law firm headquartered in Rotterdam[1]. It also has offices in Amsterdam, Arnhem, Aruba, Brussels, Curaçao, Dubai, Eindhoven, Frankfurt, Geneva, London, Luxembourg, New York, Paris, Singapore, Tokyo and Zurich[2]. The firm has about 1.600 employees, including more than 800 legal and tax experts[3].

History

Loyens & Loeff was created in 2000 through a merger between the tax law firm Loyens & Volkmaars and part of the law firm Loeff Claeys Verbeke. The histories of these firms began in the early 20th century. Through this merger, Loyens & Loeff became the first firm where attorneys, tax lawyers, and civil law notaries integrated their services [4].
