The '''Hottô Ha''' were a [[Japan|Japanese]] lineage of the [[Rinzai school]] of [[Zen Buddhism]] active during the [[Kamakura period|Kamakura]] and early [[Ashikaga period]]s. They are a branch of the Yang-ch'i lineage established by the 13th century master [[Shinchi Kakushin]], the name derived from his honorific title ''Hottô Zenji''.
