One of the founders of the club was young Alejandro Bowers who came from a wealthy background. His father, Don Carlos Bowers, would become a major benefactor and the club's colours of Orange and Black were chosen in his honour.
In 1933, Olivos promoted to Primera División (current [[Torneo de la URBA]]) for the first time after defeating [[Obras Sanitarias]] 17–3. Olivos finally set its headquarters on Mariano Pelliza street in Munro in 1940.
