Nangang River（Traditional Chinese：南港溪）is located in Miaoli County, Taiwan.[1] It is a tributary of the Zhonggang River[2], which is under central management. The river basin includes Zaoqiao Township[3], Zhunan Township[4], Toufen City[5], Sanwan Township[6], Nanzhuang Township[7], and Shitan Township[8] in Miaoli County. Nangang River originates from the southwestern slope of Shenzhuo Mountain [9]at an elevation of 762 metres (2,500 ft) [10]in Baishou Village[11], Shitan Township. It flows north to Dahedi[12] in Sanwan Township, then turns southwest to Nanpingjiao[13]It flows into Zhonggang River at Tanwen[14]. The river is 28.89 kilometres (17.95 mi) long, with a basin area of 69.5 square kilometres (26.8 sq mi). [15]
