On 22 March, 2017, at approximately 4:30 a.m, a series of bomb blasts occurred in three locations in the Muna Garage area of Maiduguri, Nigeria.[1][2] The blasts occured at the Muna Garage Internally-Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp.[3]
The attacks, which were unleashed by five persons at different locations resulted in the deaths of at least 8 people and injuries to 20 people.[4]Among the dead were four suspected bombers and four Nigerian IDPs.[3]
No terrorist group immediately claimed responsibility for the explosions , but terror group Boko Haram may be responsible for the attack as Maiduguri has been attacked by Boko Haram previously.[5]
