Marly-le-Roi is a commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. It is located in the western suburbs of Paris 18.4 km (11.4 mi) from the centre.

Marly-le-Roi was the location of the Château de Marly, the famous leisure residence of the Sun King Louis XIV which was destroyed after the French Revolution. The park of the now destroyed château has been restored with its waterways and lawns.

Demographics

The inhabitants are called Marlychois or less commonly Marlésiens.
