Sarah Abdali Idan (Arabic: سارة عيدان) (born 4 February 1990) is an Iraqi model and beauty pageant title holder who was crowned as Miss Universe Iraq 2017 and represented Iraq at the Miss Universe 2017 pageant.
Early life
Idan was born and raised Baghdad, her parents are originally from Al-Hillah. Unlike her peers in Iraq where girls don't start working till they finish and graduate from college, she started working at age 18 with the US military as a linguist, helping her people and the US Government reducing the gap between the two cultures, which granted her a moderate knowledge in dealing with diverse background and high profile individuals at early age. Later on Sarah moved to the USA, and started working and going to school. She graduated from MI (Musician Institute) in performance arts in Los Angeles.[1]
Sarah is a vocalist she could perform in multiple languages: English, Arabic, and French.[citation needed]
She also speaks other languages on a basic level like Spanish and French.[citation needed]
Miss Universe Iraq 2017
Idan was crowned in Miss Universe Iraq 2017. She represented Iraq at the Miss Universe 2017 pageant in Las Vegas but Unplaced.[2]
