Did you read it? It is not about the Aisne-Marne counter-offensive. French, British and German casualties are between 15 and 18 July. American casualties are between 15 July and 6 August. • curprev 00:0200:02, 16 June 2023LaHire07 talk contribs 18,080 bytes −46 The number of 40,000 casualties for the Americans is for the 15 July-6 August period. However all the other numbers are for the 15-18 July period. For instance, the French army lost 11,245 killed on 15-18 July, with 70,000 wounded and several thousands missing or captured, making about 90,000 losses. On 15 July-6 August, they lost 34,553 killed. Three times more killed. Thus about 270,000 losses. undo Tag: Reverted

The source which was used didn't refer to the second battle of the Marne, but the operations of Champagne-Marne and Aisne-Marne. It added the casualties of every operation around the Champagne, Aisne and Marne rivers taking place between 15 July and 6 August, from the book "American armies and battlefield in Europe". All sources state 12,000 American casualties. undo Tag: Visual edit
