Citations

There definitely ought to be some citations in this article. It shouldn't be hard to do - if I had time I'd use John Lewis Gaddis' Strategies of Containment to fill in the citations gap.

Whose doctrine is this?

This article refers to Flexible Response as the Kennedy Doctrine, but Flexible Response is not clearly mentioned in the Kennedy Doctrine article. Meanwhile, the Spanish Wikipedia refers to Flexible Response as the McNamara Doctrine [1]. Please also consider updating List of eponymous doctrines RichardVeryard (talk) 19:45, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
