Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Gender identity
Because McKenna was notable for four years under his dead name, the Manual of Style on Gender Identity states the following:

In the case of a living transgender or non-binary person, their birth name or former name (professional name, stage name, or pseudonym) should be included in the lead sentence of their main biographical article only if they were notable under that name. Introduce the prior name with either "born" or "formerly".

As a queer and non-conforming individual myself I understand this is a sensitive topic, but Wikipedia has rules in place for such situations that have been set in place by the greater editing community. Please respect those rules. CouplandForever (talk) 00:31, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
