:* An internal seminar at the NLS on access to digitised public domain content online was held on 27 February.
::* The results of an internal questionnaire, distributed prior to the seminar, suggested that staff across the Library generally held widening access as a major priority, and many saw opening access (i.e. less restrictive licensing) as a viable possibility but this was by no means universal, and was complemented by a significant number of respondents identifying 'cost recovery' or income generation as a similarly important aim - most respondents did not see the two as mutually exclusive in the questionnaire
::* During discussions, these positions were clarified, and the concern regarding potential for income generation was a primary topic of conversation.
