Ltvine is a sometimes contributing editor to Wikipedia. 'Sometimes' because Wikipedia is a love-hate relationship that takes the form of intense periods of work followed by long dormancies. It's an acute but relatively rare obsession that historically has occurred twice per year in late winter and early fall. So if I don't respond to comments on my talk page, its because I've thrown my hands up in disgust or the demands of real life have taken precedence.
