Information icon Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Jamāl al-Dīn al-Afghānī. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. \\'arrior 786 (open channel) 14:26, 18 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@\\'arrior 786: You merely need to read Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources to know that anything published by Xlibris is not usable as a reference here in Wikipedia. We tend to use reliable sources like Britannica here, and you cannot replace them, end of story. If you insist on replacing these sources again, and on purpose, I assume you want to harm Wikipedia's credibility and I have to report your actions on WP:ANB. Hi User:TheStrayDog. Persian Gulf is believed to be an "unofficial" national symbol only since 2000s. I think it is not wise to include unofficial symbols, because there are many and they are disputable. And yes, there is a Persian Gulf National Day since 2004. I'm not sure how we can include that in the template, but I suppose it would be wrong to link it. Because there is a "National Transportation Day" and a "National Nuclear Industry Day" too, we're going to link Transport in Iran or Nuclear program of Iran? Maybe we should create a List of national days in Iran and link it alongside "World Heritage Sites in Iran" and "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Iran" below the template? Pahlevun (talk) 12:37, 29 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you absolutely right . we must create List of national days in Iran and our National symbols article might be like National symbols of Pakistan (which is a good article), in the way you are saying and we must mention the unofficial symbols there. only on a section like #Other or #Unofficial symbols not on template. The Stray Dog by Sadeq Hedayat 13:44, 29 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you!

Hello dear pahlevun, thanks for your contribution about Iranian national symbols related template . please tell me what is the status of O Iran (the national song of all Iranians) ? it isn't an unofficial or traditional? i think it is semi-official cuz the government is using it at the national ceremonies . can we add it as the national song (as a de facto)?? but your opinion could be important in this fields . i think we must improve National symbols of Iran and promote it to the good article level for first step like national symbols of Pakistan . it seems Iranian are so lazy about their culture less than other countries . our culture is much longer than other country in middle east and our historical rank is #1 in the word. why are we so lazy here? and why Pakistanis are so more responsible to promote Pakistani related articles?? I think we must be more closer together and promote Iran project articles and the quality . you can be so useful here and i think i can count on your vision and opinion to work better here. catch you later to speak about establishing Persian gulf wiki project here. bye The Stray Dog by Sadeq Hedayat 19:10, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mohsen Kouhkan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lenjan (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Regarding your edit here;

I'm literally citing, p. 245, of the same source you deleted;

"The revolution brought about a parilaiment (majlis) and a constitution that curtailed the authority of both the monarchy and the clerical establishment (ulama) and gained much international support before it was put down through Russian intervention.

More (amongst others);

"(...) was later demonstrated in the joint ultimatum of November 1911; the expulsion of Morgan Shuster, the American financial adviser to the Persian government, under threat from the two powers; the shutting down of the Majles; and Russian occupation of Tabrīz."

" At 6 a.m. the following morning twenty cossacks were sent to arrest the constitutional leaders but were repulsed by fire from the Sepah-sālār mosque. Reinforcements were brought in under Russian officers, and in the subsequent battle the brunt of the fighting was born by Anjoman-e Āḏarbāyjān and some members of Anjoman-e moẓaffarī, with headquarters near the Majles (Sayyāḥ, pp. 596-600). " (...) "The Russians were becoming convinced that Shuster had anti-Russian designs and was undermining their prestige. Following his decision to appoint another British subject, a Mr. Lecoffre, as financial inspector in Tabrīz, Russia occupied Anzalī and Rašt and on 7 Ḏu’l-ḥejja/29 November issued a three-part ultimatum, requiring dismissal of Shuster." -- Martin, Vanessa. (1992) Encyclopedia Iranica, Vol. VI, Fasc. 2, pp. 176-187.

Cronin, Stephanie (1992) "Iranian-Russian Encounters: Empires and Revolutions Since 1800" Routledge. ISBN 978-0415624336 p 240, 243, 248 -- mentioning the Russian intervention in abudance as well.

Berberian, Houri (2001) "Armenians and the Iranian Constitutional Revolution of 1905-1911: "the Love for Freedom Has No Fatherland" Westview Press. ISBN 978-0813338170, p. 1

Martin, Kamran (2013). Routledge ISBN 978-1134446698., p. 68 "But after the 1911 Tsarist intervention against the constitutional government (...)"

Abundantly explained on Encyclopedia Iranica as well, through a four part series, of which the last sequel especially thoroughly mentions the Russian military/political intervention. (Ettehadieh, Mansoureh (1992). Encyclopedia Iranica. Vol. VI, Fasc. 2, pp. 193-199)

Sounds like a pretty clear Russian military/political involvement with the aim of intervening and stopping the revolutionary affairs to me. And they did so successfully as well. - LouisAragon (talk) 01:40, 4 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I suppose the revolution ended in 1906 when the constitution was created (And it was defeated when the Majlis was bombarded in 1908). 1911 military intervention took place after all these events, and is aftermath of the revolution. Anyway, in the infobox, Russia was among "Participants", they did not participate in the revolution like People of Persia or Dashnaktsutyun cited in the infobox (Russia was aganist the revolution). Pahlevun (talk) 15:58, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Your Wiktionary link literally contradicts that what you're stating, you do realize that hopefully? How did they not "participate", when they were literally both politically and military active during the aforementioned event? A participant doesn't always need to be on the "good" side -- Italy for example was a participant in World War II on the side of the Axis. Russia took part, military and politically, in virtually every sub-event during the Constitutional Revolution, with the goal to stop/prevent it. Against the actions of the pro-constitutionalists/Dashnaks. That was their participation in the event. A proposal: perhaps putting in between the bracket, for Russia: "anti-constitutional intervention", would do the trick, rather than just intervention? - LouisAragon (talk) 01:30, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

SCW&ISIL sanctions

Please read this notification carefully, it contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.
