Request reason:

I have a dynamic IP and got assigned a new IP a few days ago after a router restart that apparently was used for an open proxy by the previous user, making it impossible for me to keep making edits as I have been doing for years. Appealed once through the ticket request system, but it seems like it was immediately denied with the administrator assuming I am using a proxy because it says so in the logs. I am NOT using a VPN or proxy, so this ban is effectively preventing me from making any edits indefinitely through no fault of my own and no way to avoid it. If I cannot be unblocked, please at least tell me what I am supposed to do, because in the ocean of pages about blocks that I had to go through there was nothing useful for my case. I would also rather not post my IP in a public place, that was the whole reason I made an account in the first place. However, the only option to avoid doing so seems to be the ticket request system which assumed I was spamming when I tried to appeal again, and a denied appeal allows no comments.

Decline reason:

We cannot help you without knowing the IP address involved- you are welcome to use WP:UTRS to make a private unblock request. You may need to wait 24 to 48 hours to make a new request. 331dot (talk) 20:59, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

331dot After 10 days it got denied again, with a similar response. Is that seriously all I can do? Qowert (talk) 15:52, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
