Revision as of 05:26, 4 December 2007

Notability of Eve Torres

A tag has been placed on Eve Torres requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Oysterguitarist 04:49, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The page is notable because she is a Diva Search contestant working for WWE(World Wrestling Entertainment) at this time so i think that would make it notable.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. VivioFateFan (Talk, Sandbox) 06:23, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ok since at the moment everyone seems to be determined 4 there not 2 be a Eve Torres page, my question is if Eve wins the WWE Diva Search on October 29th will that finally make her notable enough for someone to add a page about her.

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to the World Wrestling Entertainment roster page. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Sandahl 05:04, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 05:07, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

Re:How do i add pictures??. This link will help with that Wikipedia:Picture tutorial. Images should go on the right at the top of the page above the text. If there's more than one in the article that can vary. Here is a link that shows image copyright tags so that you can find the right one. Happy editing.--Sandahl 07:20, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Roucka, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.milena-roucka.com/content.php?go=bio. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 09:16, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Taryn Terrell

Please do not recreate the article for Taryn Terrell. Her article was turned into a redirect per this discussion: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Taryn Terrell. Thank you. Nikki311 14:39, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Dominic Ona-Ariki

A tag has been placed on Dominic Ona-Ariki requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. jonny-mt(t)(c)Tell me what you think! 06:23, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tracey Morrison (character)

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Tracey Morrison (character), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Tagging Harry McNaughton for deletion

Hello, SeanMorleyRoxs ... I recently encountered the article about Harry McNaughton while performing either New Page Patrol, Recent changes patrol, or Counter-Vandalism Unit activities, and in my opinion as a Wikipedia editor, it either lacks sufficient Attribution that it satisfies the notability criteria for Biographies, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it reads like blatant Vanispmcruftisment.

The point is that I plan to tag Harry McNaughton (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) with either a {{prod}} that explains my reasons why I believe that it should be deleted, or else a {{db-bio}} tag for speedy deletion (CSD A7).

I have created this initial entry on your Talk page because you are either the original author of the article or a recent contributor to it; I will leave more detailed information regarding my specific concerns about the article on its Discussion page ... please respond either there or on this Talk page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation. … Happy Editing! —141.156.234.101 (talk · contribs) 21:53, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Kiel McNaughton

Kiel McNaughton, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Kiel McNaughton satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kiel McNaughton and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Kiel McNaughton during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Unsourced contributions

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Kiel McNaughton, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. This is especially important when dealing with biographies of living people, but applies to all Wikipedia articles. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. 141.156.234.101 (talk) 23:09, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with your articles

Hello, SeanMorleyRoxs ... the main problem with the biographical articles you are creating is that they do not contain any references to reliable source publications about the subjects ... IMDb listings and blogs do not meet the criteria ... see this example of a stub that demonstrates correctly asserting and citing notability, e.g., your articles lack such basic information as Date of birth and Place of birth (hence the Category tags) ... Warning: Anastacia Rose lacks WP:A to establish WP:BIO

Hello, SeanMorleyRoxs ...

Wikipedia articles must be based on reliable sources to verify any claims of Notability ... without them, an article is just original research, which is prohibited by official policy.

Even though the lack of reliable source attribution in an article is not grounds for deletion in itself, articles with absolutely no sources (or only links to unreliable ones like MySpace, Google, and Amazon.com) raise a flag for some editors that such attributable sources may not, in fact, exist.

Just in case Anastacia Rose (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) has already been deleted by the time you see this message, please read What to do after your speedy delete has been restored to better understand what has happened, and your options for recovery and continuing development of your article.

Please read Wikipedia's official policies and guidelines that contain the specific notability criteria for Notability (people) (WP:BIO) and Biographies of Living Persons (WP:BLP) for further information ... if you have written this article about yourself or a close relative, then you also need to read both Autobiography (WP:AUTO) and Conflict of interest (WP:COI).

Example of a stub with good WP:A for WP:BIO may be used as a stencil for using the {{cite news}} template.

Please participate in the discussion of your other articles that have been flagged for notability and possible deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kiel McNaughton

AfD nomination of Harmony O'Neill

An article that you have been involved in editing, Harmony O'Neill, has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Victor Kahu. Thank you. 141.156.234.101 (talk) 12:58, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Harmony O'Neill. The notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an article, and removing them is considered vandalism. If you oppose the deletion of an article, you may comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. —141.156.234.101 (talk · contribs) 01:39, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
