This article is under article probation, as I imagine you are aware. Please tone down the rhetoric a bit; you can disagree without calling another editors position "unbelievable". Perhaps they have not thought it through; perhaps they have reasons of which you are unaware. Try to be a little less contemptuous of their views. Welcome

Welcome!

Hello, Celdaz, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome!

"Not helpful?"

Look again, and you'll see that the article I called 'not helpful' was related to this edit, and not the one you restored. The one you restored, I merely asked if it was the best source available. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 02:29, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the mistake, I had thought erroneously that you were referring to my article. The article I cited, it is superior to the google books one for the reason that it is an article specifically about investigating the "two percent figure" and concludes it to be fabricated, whereas the google books cite just says "the widely-cited figure is two percent."

I am new to editing so I'm not sure if this is the proper way to reply to your message. If it is not, but you see it anyway, please let me know what is the proper way to reply.

I apologize again for the mistake.

2+2=4

Hi Celdaz! I appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia. I was a little hurt by your sarcastic remark regarding the need for a citation about the life span situation and gender differences. While I did not originally add the request for the citation, I do believe that clarifying material is very important, and it's best practice in scholarly communities and since we are working to write the world's biggest, free encyclopedia, it's important we cite our writing. While, I know it might seem silly to you, we have to, it's part of how Wikipedia rolls! :) And there might be some people who don't know that men might not live as long as women, or understand why, so linking readers to a great, reliable source, will allow people to explore that. Citation needed tags are never meant to be taken personal, it's just how Wikipedia keeps things scholarly and reliable. Please read our policy about Wikipedia:Verifiability, I think it'll be a great help - I know it was for me when I first started editing, and I added plenty of content (and had it deleted) when I first started editing! Thanks again, and I do hope this will help you understand why that tag was added to that statement. :) SarahStierch (talk) 00:24, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
