STB Dockets
Surface Transportation Board Dockets, which generally describe decisions related to everything from railroad acquisitions to abandonments (since 1996) are the primary source of information for articles I write. You may have noticed a discrepancy in the citation, with two separate docket numbers used. The actual finance docket number is the one that should be used, however, I mistakenly used the file number from the STB webpage. It will take time to review all the instances of STB docket citations to correct the problem, although it should not be an issue for casual readers since the link takes you to the same page either way. --FrankieG123 (talk) 17:12, 22 September 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedia Campus Ambassadors wanted in Troy, Alabama
Hi! I'm leaving you this message because you're listed as a Wikipedian in Alabama. The Wikipedia Ambassador Program is currently looking for Campus Ambassadors to help with Wikipedia assignments at Troy University, which will be participating in the Public Policy Initiative for the Spring 2011 semester. The role of Campus Ambassadors will be to provide face-to-face training and support for students on Wikipedia-related skills (how to edit articles, how to add references, etc.). This includes doing in-class presentations, running workshops and labs, possibly holding office hours, and in general providing in-person mentorship for students.

Prior Wikipedia skills are not required for the role, as training will be provided for all Campus Ambassadors (although, of course, being an experienced editor is a plus).

I know Alabama is a big state, but if you happen to live near Troy and you are interested in being a Wikipedia Campus Ambassador, or know someone else from Troy who might be, please email me or leave a message on my talk page.--Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 16:06, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Question about WikiProject South Carolina
Greetings, I have been watching WikiProject South Carolina for a while and it doesn't appear to be very active and I had a proposition for the members to consider. I would like to pull WPUS under WikiProject United States to some degree. I am not necessarily talking a full merger unless thats what the members of WPSC want but here is what I mean.
#The project would stay the way it is except for a couple things. I would like to replace WikiProject South Carolina with WikiProject United States and add WPSC to the list of Projects supported by WPUS. This would include replacing the WPSC template on the talk pages of the articles with WPUS/South Carolina (if you want to see an examply you camn look at Washington DC).
#I would also add it to the list of Projects supported by WPUS on the main WPUS landing page.
This would do a couple things that I think would benefit both projects.
#It would increase visibility of South Carolina and related articles to a much larger user base
#It would allow WPSC to more easily benefit from the Bots running for WPUS. This includes article alert bot that warns of Articles and Images for deletion or Promotion. This would ensure maximum visibility if an article relating to South Carolina was submitted for deletion or promotion.
#It would allow the South Carolina related articles to fall under the WPUS and South Carolina scope.
#It would somewhat reduce the maintenance required by consolidating the templates
#It would reduce the number of templates visibile on the articles
#In addition to the above, I typically cycle through all the articles in the WPUS scope every month or 2 fixing various things (sections, typos, persondata, categories, etc) and this would allow the South Carolina articles to fall under that much more easily.
Please let me know what thoughts or ideas you have about this and if the other members would be receptive to this. I also added a message to the talk page of WikiProject South Carolina. Thanks in advance. --Kumioko (talk) 20:28, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
