PSO’s origin travels back to January 1<sup>st</sup>, 1974 when Pakistan’s federal government took over the management of Pakistan National Oil (PNO) and Dawood Petroleum Limited to form Premier Oil Company Limited (POCL) for marketing petroleum products under the Federal Control Act, 1974.
