Roy Edan (Hebrew: רועי עידן‎; 11 November 1978 – 7 October 2023) was an Israeli photojournalist working for Ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth who was murdered by Hamas terrorists in the Kfar Aza massacre.[1]

Career

Edan was a member of the faculty at Camera Obscura Art School.[2] As a news photojournalist for Ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth and covered events in the Gaza Strip region for twelve years.[3] His video footage from the early hours of 7 October 2023 is considered to be the initial documentation of the attack on Israel.[4]
