Retro Bowl is an American football video game developed by New Star Games[1] for iOS, Android, and will come to the Nintendo Switch in early 2022.[2] The game was released in January 2020 and gained massive popularity in late 2021 on TikTok.
Gameplay
Retro Bowl is based on retro football game Tecmo Bowl. In the game the player controls the offense while also being the general manager. At the start of the game you are assigned a random team or you can play as a team of your choice. In the game you try to manage your team to the titular Retro Bowl.[3] The game's simple mechanics where praised by players alike.[4]
Spinoff
After the success of Retro Bowl, a spinoff Retro Goal was released in June 2021.[5]
