:I have been editing for a year now in enwiki, as well as in another project (sqwiki), and recently have started to contribute heavily in WP:AFD, so I think I have a good knowledge of the notability policies, and would like to contribute with the new page patrolling. I have not moved many pages in enwiki, but have done so a lot in sqwiki, where I have been a sysop in the last 10 months. Although I have barely 500 edits in mainspace, I have 16,500 edits and 14,000 new page approvals in sqwiki. In enwiki I have created 15 articles, and sent two of them to DYK, and I have reviewed the first DYK article. --1l2l3k (talk) 19:59, 3 August 2018 (UTC) 1l2l3k (talk) 19:59, 3 August 2018 (UTC)

New page reviewer

I've been here for a few years, got several thousand edits of experience, created a couple dozen articles and worked in AfC. It looks like there's a backlog for new page reviewing so I want to help out. I've read WP:NPP and will be carefully re-reading it before making any patrols. I would like to help in making Wikipedia into a more trustworthy site. I believe that an open source method of collecting information is valuable, but needs to be published in a controlled method to avoid having false information spread. I used this website when I went to UCF as a starting point for a good amount of my papers for the sources. I would like it if eventually Wikipedia would be seen as a reputable source, and I am hoping that I can aid in that effort. H Trout MSI (talk) 18:32, 3 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Not done I'm not an admin but you do not satisfy the criteria for grating yet. Eleven edits and 24 days experience is not enough. L293D ( • ) 18:34, 3 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @H Trout MSI: - although L293D is correct that you probably don't have the experience required for the new page reviewer right yet, do note that there are endless ways you can help improve Wikipedia and make it more reliable without having any kind of right. The new page reviewer right isn't required for editing almost all articles, creating pages, participating in WikiProjects, etc., and all users can easily manually review pages as well (see Special:NewPagesFeed). I just now left a message on on your talk page, which contains a lot of links which you may find useful.--SkyGazer 512 Oh no, what did I do this time? 18:40, 3 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I believe I satisfy the formal minimum criteria, although regarding page moving, my experience is limited to "conventional" article moving and draft/article shifting. I feel my knowledge of what is required for an article to exist is fairly good, with 230 or so AfD !votes with 86/92% consensus rate over all. I also have a reasonable amount of activity with AfC which is what has led me to think I could also be a new page reviewer, and would like to be, as making sure incorrect articles don't enter Wiki seems like a logical follow-on to my AfD & AfC work.
I don't have a great deal of CSD experience, with almost all of it copyright oriented. My CSD Log is okay red-wise - the only rejected one was my first, where the article underwent a rewrite and so the CSD was unneeded. If a broader CSD experience is viewed as necessary then just let me know. Nosebagbear (talk) 19:35, 3 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
