I have remedied the initial problems with my article "Alistair Fox," which lacked inline sources. The article has been accepted in the category "start class"; however, the article "Alistair Fox" cannot be accessed doing a google search (I assume that it is not indexed). It can be accessed using a Wikipedia search - meaning that once the viewer is "in" Wikipedia, he or she can search and access the article. Am I doing something wrong here or is there a "probation period" for articles before they can be accessed through a google search? I am new to Wikipedia as a writer and would appreciate any "tips" and explanations available.

16:20:37, 19 February 2018 review of submission by RC1996

Hello! I am writing my first page on Wikipedia and it has been rejected twice for appearing to read more like an advertisement. I have edited the text again and was hoping to get your advice whether you think it would pass (and get published) this time, or if there are more edits to make. If so, are their any parts in particular that should be changed? Thank you in advance for your help!

21:34:56, 19 February 2018 review of submission by Martyn GT

I was not intending this article to read like a tribute. I would like to try and convert it to read more like an article that would be acceptable. Can you make any suggestions? Martyn GT (talk) 21:34, 19 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Martyn GT - As the reviewer that declined, am replying on my Talkpage, where the author also asked for feedback. KJP1 (talk) 21:48, 19 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

04:41:01, 20 February 2018 review of submission by Sabiberikova

I'm requesting assistance because I cannot understand why draft of the page "TSARKA" is not acceptable and can't be published. I will be grateful if someone will help my with problem. Will wait for your answer Sabiberikova (talk) 04:41, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sabiberikova. The draft was declined because it cites no sources that are independent of TSARKA. The bulk of any article should be based on independent sources, and only independent sources can show that an entity is notable (suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia). --Worldbruce (talk) 15:03, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

18:42:34, 20 February 2018 review of submission by Dean.Connor

Hi there,

We resubmitted our Wikipedia request for Dean Connor and followed the changes you suggested. Please let us know if this is okay/ what else we need to change to allow for publishing.

Thank you Dean.Connor (talk) 18:42, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dean.Connor. Please clarify what you mean by "we". The policy on Wikipedia is "one user—one account". Usernames should not be shared by multiple individuals. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:12, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, To clarify, there is only one individual using this username. I have been asked to expand on the current Wikipedia page for Sun Life financial and create a basic profile for the leader of Sun Life Financial for public use. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dean.Connor (talkcontribs) 21:03, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

03:53:48, 21 February 2018 review of draft by JMProd

Hi there! Just making sure I submitted the new page info for Draft:Jeff Margolis correctly. I do work for his company, but I don't find any of the info given to be biased at all. Many directors have similar pages like this -- i.e. Ken Erlich, Louis J. Horvitz. It's really just general facts that can be found on IMDB / his website, other publications, etc. Please let me know if that's not the case! Thank you! JMProd (talk) 03:53, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

JMProd (talk) 03:53, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi JMProd. The draft is in the pool to be reviewed. With the current backlog you can expect that to happen within about two months. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:09, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 08:57:38, 21 February 2018 for assistance on AfC submission by Rosscoffx

Hi team

I was not aware of some of the procedures on Wikipedia when creating my draft of My Games Lounge. I have now based all writings on the content of other blogs on Wikipedia that are published in my same niche.

For example, the introduction and features is not written as a promotion, it is based on the language used in the Giant Bomb, Eurogamer and Polygon pages already published.

In fact, I have significantly reduced the content.

If you compare my draft to these published articles you will see the similarities and tone (I literally copied it out to ensure this would be the case!).

I understand you have to be careful with the submissions, I would appreciate someone taking a look. If any sentance in particular is poor do let me know and it will bee changed no problem.

Many Thanks

Ross Denby

09:33:16, 21 February 2018 review of submission by Aparnassisodia

I was just wondering why my company profile always got rejected as you already approved Makemytrip and other portal. If you find it advertising content, Makemytrip team has submitted the same pattern. Looking for favourable response. Well I will rewrite and submit it again. Aparnassisodia (talk) 09:33, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Aparnassisodia. You are mistaken when you write that MakeMyTrip has been approved. The article exists, but it hasn't been approved. If it doesn't meet Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, it may be that no one has noticed yet. If you wish to learn from an example, choose one from among Wikipedia's best articles. --Worldbruce (talk) 03:26, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Well I just would like to know that onward you guys are not going to give approval to any company (like OLA, makekytrip, yatra, travelguru etc) if yes, kindly suggest the process through which I can get it published. I would be highly obliged. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aparnassisodia (talkcontribs) 12:23, 23 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Mohamed Walid (talk) 14:57, 21 February 2018 (UTC) When you create an article that Draft:Altras Money Transfer has been deleted, I want to re-submit it again.[reply]

Mohamed Walid, the draft in question was deleted for unambiguous advertising. If you do remake the article, be very sure not to use the same advertisement terms and features. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 15:00, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

17:20:59, 21 February 2018 review of submission by Yinka83

Yinka83 (talk) 17:20, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if I am doing this right! I tired to submit an article but it was rejected back in November. I made the approporaite changes, but nothing seems to have happened since - I have tried a few times to make changes, but I can't work out where I am with it? This is the page in question: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:G-Research?action=edit&oldid=818501303&wteswitched=1

Hi Yinka83. If you wish to have Draft:G-Research reviewed again, you'll need to resubmit it. You can do that by clicking the blue "Resubmit" button at the bottom of the pink box at the top of the draft. If you resubmit it as is, it will likely be declined. From a quick glance, the sources cited do not appear to demonstrate that the company is notable. You may find it helpful to read WP:BFAQ#COMPANY before you go any further. --Worldbruce (talk) 03:08, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

18:19:18, 21 February 2018 review of submission by LILAVIOLETA

Hello, I wrote an article in English that was basically an identical translation from the one in Spanish, same content and all. Why was it rejected if it is allowed in Spanish to post it that way? Thanks a lot in advance.LILAVIOLETA (talk) 18:19, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello LILAVIOLETA, your draft Draft:Emil Montgomery was declined because it has no sourcing at all. On Wikipedia, you need to provide sourcing for your facts, otherwise nobody can believe your article because they can't fact-check it.
So far as to why es:Emil Montgomery is allowed, firstly Spanish Wikipedia has its own rules/standards and admins. Secondly, the Spanish version is tagged as "needs sources" too, so English Wikipedia isn't going to add to the problem by creating yet another improperly-sourced article. Next, at the bottom of the article are "enlaces externos" which sort of hint at references (and should probably be copied to your Draft, it's okay to leave the titles in Spanish).
Basically, you need to find sources which prove each fact you claim about Montgomery, and any fact you can't prove, you must remove it. Do that, and we can publish, no problem. MatthewVanitas (talk) 08:49, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Same advice given on my Talkpage, where the editor also posted. KJP1 (talk) 09:11, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Natia the great 9900 (talk) 18:46, 21 February 2018 (UTC) um what i do not understand is why my page got declined is it because im not doing something right[reply]

Hi Natia the great 9900. Natialandia and Draft:Natialandia have been speedily deleted three times in total. The precise reasons have been different each time, but they're all variations of "this is unsuitable for Wikipedia". You may find Wikipedia:Your first article helpful in undestanding why you should write about a different topic. --Worldbruce (talk) 03:00, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It's uncalled for that my article got deleted due to an unreferenced-junk-related list about "list of nicknames (or lack thereof) of national ice hockey teams" and the discussion was closed as delete (XFDcloser).

Nuurrasyiid (talk) 05:20, 23 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Nuurrasyiid. You appear to have moved beyond User:Nuurrasyiid/sandbox and be working on Draft:Teraju, so I don't understand your question. Note that most companies are unsuitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, and it is unwise to write about a topic with which you have a conflict of interest. Tatyana Malaysian 06:24, 23 February 2018 (UTC) This page was having AFC pending submission by age/9 days, but it is increasing constantly but with no changes. Today it reached to 11 days. Expected review time is increasing as it was one month, now it is two. I don't know when it will be reviewed. Please keep this in account and have a look. Tatyana Malaysian 06:24, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

Hi Tatyana Malaysian. The draft is in the pool to be reviewed. Given the current backlog, it likely will be reviewed by mid-April. You may continue to work on it while you wait. At present, it isn't clear from the draft that the subject is notable (suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia). User generated content, such as bookofachievers.com, is not a reliable source. The draft needs to cite publications that are independent and reliable, as The Times of India is, but those publications also need to contain significant coverage of the subject, not just one sentence. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:34, 23 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ihechi Opara. Draft:Ihechi Opara has not been reviewed because you have not submitted it for review. To do so, add the template {{subst:submit}} to the top of the draft and click the "Publish changes" button. Once it is in the pool of submitted drafts, it will be reviewed within about two months. 16:18:09, 23 February 2018 review of submission by Jakencva

Hello, I'm trying to get an article regarding the 2018 MAC men's basketball tournament published. 30 of the 32 men's tournaments have published articles, but a reviewer has twice blocked my attempts to create an article for the MAC. The first explanation was that the article was "TOOSOON", even though the tournament begins next week and all but two conference tournaments now have published articles. The second explanation was that there were insufficient external sources, but the article now has four major media sources, more than the vast majority of articles regarding 2018 men's basketball conference tournaments.

Jakencva (talk) 16:18, 23 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Jakencva. Compared to most tournament articles, especially at this start, this one is more than ready for submission. Please submit it again and it should be accepted. JTP (talkcontribs) 05:21, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I submitted an article on Intellia Therapeutics earlier and it has been declined on Jan 22nd. I reviewed my submission, corrected the sidebar and added five new citations from very credible resources (Financial Times, Wall St Journal and New Scientist). I would like to publish this article at your earliest convenience. Is there a way this article is reviewed faster than the first submission since I am submitting it for the second time? I appreciate your understanding and assistance. I didn't receive an email from Wikipedia when my first submission was rejected. That's why I realized it almost one month later than it has been rejected, when I logged in to my Wiki account and saw the notification. Would you please email me when the article is reviewed?

I have cited the location for this place in the Google maps. What else can I provide to prove the existence of this place. There is not much information about our place on internet that I can cite in the article.

Please let me know what is required to prove the existence of this place.

Is there a way of automatically generating choropleth world maps from data tables within Wikipedia? A search reveals Wikipedia has 2,195 'list of countries' pages. If there isn't a template to do this already, it'd be great for someone abler than me to create one…

07:35:48, 25 February 2018 review of draft by NannetteKnowsMen

Please help me, as I have discovered a psychological context which the APA told me to TRADEMARK and then have WIKIOPEDIA'd and I did everything correctly and it keeps telling me that I have not submitted the page. Also, I am doing this to PROTECT MYSELF not PROMOTE MYSELF, please note that I have been an author since 1993 and I have never done the Wiki thing before. It is not a COI to either write about myself or my work, for the purpose of protection. Please advise. NannetteKnowsMen (talk) 07:35, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

NannetteKnowsMen, I would very much dispute the claim It is not a COI to either write about myself or my work, for the purpose of protection. If "protection" is your priority, that means that objectivity isn't. Further, having a Wikipedia article has absolutely nothing to do with trademarking or patenting anything, so I have no idea why the APA (which APA, many groups use that acronym) is allegedly telling you that.
Also, your article is not submitted for review, so until you click that "Submit" button in the gray box, your draft is not at all moving forward.
Next, please do not click Submit at this time, since your draft has absolutely no sourcing other than to your own LinkedIn page. I would strongly suggest you read the Wikipedia policy WP:Notability. Basically, unless outside experts (medical and psychology journals, newspapers, etc) are discussing the Agony Element, then Wikipedia doesn't need an article on it. Wikipedia is not a place to "spread the word" about something that is not already well-known and documented.

21:35:53, 25 February 2018 review of submission by Seminole Sam

I've created Wikipedia articles many years ago and had no problems doing it. This time around, I created a very basic "holder" page for my friend who is a published author.

It was rejected rejected as shown below:

("This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.")

I'm very familiar with the author(ess) and as a retired newspaper editor, I understand citing references. Since I'm creating this page, I am the reference and I've had an account in good standing with Wikipedia for well over a decade.

Do you have any suggestions aside from the above response? Stephen R. Beasley 21:35, 25 February 2018 (UTC)
