West is a city in McLennan County, Texas, USA. The population was 2,692 at the 2000 census.
Despite its name it is located in the central part of Texas, north of Waco. Also, most of the city is located on the east side of Interstate 35E.
Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.0 km² (1.6 mi²), all land.
