Brian Boru and Christian religion before 1054.

[edit]

On 1 July 2024‎, I edited the religion of Brian Boru from 'Roman Catholic' to 'Chalcedonian Christianity', putting a note which explained my reasoning. However, you deleted my edit, saying: revert, effectively unsourced. But even then you have to prove with sources that he was not catholic May I ask what does it mean that I have to PROVE with sources he was NOT Catholic? There are undisputable sources that Brian Boru was Christian, right? And the Christian Church split four decades after Brian Boru's death: https://www.britannica.com/event/East-West-Schism-1054 Saying ANY ruler before that time, Irish or otherwise, was 'Catholic' or 'Orthodox', would be like saying they were 'Protestant'. It is historically incorrect. Those terms were used INTERCHANGEABLY about the Christian church as a whole. Please, let us not the politics of 21st century influence our view of history. Brian Boru, and the Kings before/after him considered themselves a part of a Christian church, plain and simple. If we are to put some kind of label on him/them, it could be 'Western christianity', because that was more of a geographical and cultural term. Synod of Ráth Breasail. The Irish church of the time was the oddball out. And beside that: it was unsourced, just a claim. The Banner talk 08:44, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

T'way Air BKI-CJU flights

[edit]

I have added a citation tag on Kota Kinabalu International Airport regarding about T'way's Seasonal charter Jeju-Kota Kinabalu flights, was it justifiedly added? The source don't show it is a charter flight, also the flight isn't operating as of now, I am not removing Jeju as a destination because I don't know if it really is a seasonal charter that may operate again somewhere late in this year or it's discontinued. By and large: if you do not have independent, reliable sources, do not mention it in an article. The Banner talk 12:21, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ODR-BDL Flight

[edit]

What are you doing? You claim I provided no proof, yet I was providing all the proof. Like I said you can easily find AA Eagle flights from ORD-BDL anytime between November and April. Since that seems hard to do, here is a direct link to a google flights search showing it: https://www.google.com/travel/flights/search?tfs=CBwQAhonEgoyMDI0LTExLTAyMgJBQWoMCAISCC9tLzAxX2Q0cgcIARIDQkRMQAFIAXABggELCP___________wGYAQI&hl=en-US&gl=US

Do you even understand what happened with this flight in the first place? BDL has been listed for a very long time under year round service for AA mainline and AA Eagle. Then on Aug 13, VanFlyer98, thought it has now changed to mainline only, and thus removed BDL under AA Eagle. I did the research on aa.com, and easily found AA Eagle service to BDL in the winter months. Which is why I thus added BDL back to seasonal service on the 14th. Now you and the other person think I'm just randomly adding this flight back, when it has always been there, just in the wrong category.

I understand we want to make sure there are no unsourced additions to the article, but when I provided clear proof twice and you undo both the revisions, that's just wrong. Did you even read the comments in the revisions, or just blindly undo them? 73.73.243.217 (talk) 01:05, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You did not provide proof in the article, despite that being mandatory. And a Google-search is not a suitable source, as it just scrapes company websites. But when you can provide a news-article or other independent source, we are in business. The Banner talk 09:21, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
